LOOKING AHEAD
In 2013 when we launched our first Seed Transformation Program in West Africa, we were cautiously optimistic about how we could contribute to ending global poverty. Today, ten years later, we are more determined than ever, and are grateful for the efforts and accomplishments of our Seed-trained entrepreneurs, volunteers, and Seed staff.

While poverty levels in developing countries have significantly improved over the last decade, the COVID-19 pandemic, climate change and other global disruptions have halted or in some cases even reversed progress.10 Small and medium sized companies continue to play a significant role in contributing to economic development, creating jobs and developing innovations that improve people’s lives. The need to help these businesses thrive and create impact is greater than ever.
